Oxted’s last surviving High Street bank, HSBC in Station Road East, is to close in 2023.
On 30 November, HSBC announced it is closing 114 UK branches including the Oxted one. It said it was due to the rise in online banking and decline in demand for over the counter transactions. More details, click here
The announcement follows hard on the heels of the news that Nat West is closing its branch in Station Road East on 22 February next year.
