The Politics Show BBC One - Chalkpit lorry confrontation

The BBC's Politics Show team come to Oxted to film the lorry problem and are confronted up close by one of the drivers. They talk to local residents, including Mohamed Al Fayed and Reverend Alan Mayer, about the serious road safety dangers facing local people from the existing huge number of HGVs using the Chalkpit Quarry.

And they ask Surrey County Council leader, Dr Andrew Povey, why SCC now plans to open up a second quarry, less than a mile from the first, which will mean lots more lorries. He blames the Labour government and says it's not within Surrey's power to stop the Plan.
