Video of protesters at April 3rd meeting
On April 3rd more than 400 protesters arrived at Tandridge Council Offices in Oxted to try to gain access to the first of the Core Strategy meetings.
It had become clear that the Government Planning Inspector examining the Council's plan thought it might well be "unsound" and was considering throwing it out.
A large number of the residents were unable to get in and had to wait outside because the Council Chamber was full. Those that did get in told the Inspector that they supported the Council's Core Strategy which makes it clear that building on the Green Belt is not necessary.To see the video click here
